An American premiere of Botho Strauss’ incendiary take on modern life and the beyond, in an original translation by the late University of Chicago Professor Peter Jansen. This searing social satire ran from Oct. 5- Nov. 2, 2008 at Prop Theatre in Chicago, IL and was originally presented as part of The International Theatre of Chicago’s REading Series.

The Midwest premiere of a one-act oriental fairy tale from the composer of Carmen.

A little-known gem, this delightful opera follows the devoted, beautiful Djamileh in her quest to win over the blasé young nobleman, Haroun. The sparkling mosaics of Preston Bradley Hall serve as the backdrop to this tale of love in an Egyptian palace. The opera will be performed with members of the New Millennium Orchestra of Chicago under the direction of Maestro Francesco Milioto.

Tickets must be obtained in person, Limit four per person.
